Challenge

OESD has led the way in home embroidery design for over 25 years and provides quality designs and resources to their customers through their site, https://embroideryonline.com.  The website was on version 9.5 of AspDotNetStorefront, however, the platform limited OESD’s sales & marketing initiatives.  OESD wanted to implement the following:

  • Combined content and ecommerce platform
  • Ability to offer visitor based promotions
  • Rules based upsell
  • Templated content management pages
  • Provide customers with easy access to purchased designs

Solution

OESD wanted a platform that would provide for long-term growth and moving from AspDotNetStorefront to Epi allowed OESD and Brilliance to develop a combined content and eCommerce site that provides a foundation for future growth.

The site includes:

  • Banners and promotions based on visitor groups
  • Enhanced search using Epi FIND to power the search and provide type-ahead, auto-complete, recommended categories & products results
  • Integration with Braintree for credit card and PayPal payment processing
  • Epi FIND for faceted navigation on category and search pages to help customers narrow their results
  • Integration with OESD’s PIM and order management system for ease of maintenance of product information, images, design assets and orders
  • My Designs page driven by FIND to help customers locate one design out of hundreds previously purchased
  • Templated pages for the Project Hub to provide a quick and easy way to add

Impact

OESD's organic traffic increased 68.6% after moving to Epi. They continue to see results from moving to Epi and implementing key marketing strategies.
