Global Finishing Case Study

Challenge

Global Finishing Solutions is a top manufacturer of spray paint booths, spray booths and finishing systems for coating and finishing, specifically automotive body shops and other related products. Located in Osseo, Wisconsin, GFS is a leader in making and supplying environmentally friendly spray booths and has been serving customers for over 130 years.

The GFS website was in html, and editing the site was difficult and time consuming. GFS had other issues including:

  • Having a website that was consistent with its brand and voice
  • Editing programs, including Dreamweaver, were not working well with website
  • Difficulty adding and removing site content quickly and easily

Solution

Brilliance used DNN version 7.01.02 as they worked on revamping GFS website. Brilliance collaborated with GFS and Candorem, a Wisconsin-based user experience firm to optimize the user experience on the site.

  • Global Finishing Solutions specified the design, Candorem analyzed the design and made recommendations for improved user experience, and Brilliance created the responsive skin for the site.
  • Brilliance Business Solutions focused on making the GFS website a professional reflection of its brand and simplifying functionality to add and remove site content easily (see below).

GFS wanted to make it easier for customers to view products after this website revamp.

 

Impact

Brilliance helped GFS go from a straight HTML site, which was hard for anyone but a developer to update, to a Content Management System that the marketing team can use to update content. Since launching in April 2014, GFS has also experienced the following benefits:

  • The GFS website is easier to update with DotNetNuke.
  • User site visits increased by 8%.
  • Improved website navigation has increased lead form conversions by 101%.
