November is National Gratitude Month! Each year, the Brilliance team takes a few moments in our morning huddles to each share something for which we were grateful. We take turns writing them on the board, where they are displayed all month to remind us of all of the things that keep us going when the days get long, and make us happy regardless of what is going on in our lives.

Well, what exactly is gratitude? As defined by DICTIONARY.COM gratitude is, “the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful.” 

Showing appreciation only takes a few seconds, but the effects can last much longer than that, or at least resonate well beyond the moment that you show and share gratitude. But showing gratitude is more than saying, “thank you.” Exercising daily gratitude gives us a better understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
